Feature Video Assignment

Biggby Coffee has been a part of Heather Abdulla’s life for the past 7 years and she would not change it for the world. Being born in Detroit and raised in Barryton, she found her way to Biggby where she has not left since.

It is not only a place for connecting with customers, but also supporting the community for Heather as well.

“I love how much community involvement we are involved in. We really try to get involved as much as we can. My most memorable moments with that is helping with the DALMAC. We handed out food and drinks to the cyclist that passed.” Says Heather.

The motto for Biggby, “we exist to love people” and unlike your typical coffee shop the atmosphere is extremely customer orientated.

Once during a stop to Schnepp, a senior care rehabilitation center Heather was able to give the staff and residents coffee/lattes or hot chocolates. “To see the smile and joy on their faces is what we aim to do.”

Not only has Biggby provided a place of community for Heather, but also memories that will last a lifetime. Such as going to Annual Franchise Meetings around Michigan with fellow coworkers and getting the chance to go skydiving with the owner of the store, MaryAnne MacIntosh.

Just your typical 27 year old from Traverse City, Mi. I have my associates in Liberal Arts and Science from Northwestern Michigan College and received my bachelors in Photojournalism at Central Michigan College. As you may tell, photography is my lifelong passion. Ever since I was a child, there was a camera in my hand. My favorite moments to capture are lives breath taking moments from environmental shots to senior photos.
